1. Who we are
Syra di Giovanni 1862 ("we", "us") operates the website syradigiovanni1862.com and the residence at 13 Nik. Papadam St, Ermoupoli 841 00, Syros, Greece. For any privacy question, write to us through our concierge form.
2. What we collect
We collect only what is necessary to answer an enquiry or honour a reservation: name, email, phone number (optional), dates of stay, number of guests, and any preferences you share in a message. When a booking is paid, our payment processor (Stripe) handles card details — we never see or store them.
3. Why we hold it
To confirm your reservation, issue receipts and calendar invites, correspond with you before and after your stay, and comply with Greek and EU accounting law.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiry-only data: up to 12 months, then deleted. Reservation data: 10 years, the retention period required by Greek tax authorities. You may request earlier deletion of any data that is not subject to a legal hold.
5. Who we share with
Nobody outside the following: Stripe (payments), our transactional email provider (booking confirmations), our accountant (as required by law) and the Hellenic tax authority. We never sell data, ever.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, port or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Write to us through our concierge form and we will reply within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
7. Cookies
This website uses only strictly-necessary cookies for the reservation form and payment flow. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics that fingerprint visitors. See our cookie notice.
